MISTERS OF FILIPINAS 2016 winners were crowned a few moments ago tonight at Resorts World Manila’s Newport Performing Arts Theater with San Pablo City’s Miguel Mari Guia bagging the Mister International Philippines 2016 title.
The early favorite Guia will represent the Philippines in the pageant first won by police officer Neil Perez in 2014. With his performance and the qualities he possesses, Guia seems ready to conquer the global stage.
The male pageant, organized by the Prime Event Productions Philippines Foundation, Inc. gathered around hundreds of hopefuls earlier in the competition but only a handful made it to the finals, which served as the culmination of a year-long annual search.
The new Man of the Year Philippines is Albay’s Issa Janda who would take the biggest challenge this year as the reigning international title holder is Filipino Karan Singhdole, also a product of PEPPS. Singhdole was crowned just last month in Indonesia. It was an epic year for Janda who gained popularity after resigning from a new local male pageant earlier this year because of the controversies with the organizers. With his physique and a beautiful face, Janda just proved the world that he is indeed worthy of winning just another competition.
It was a indeed a tough competition for this edition of this male pageant but when everything is put to test, some hunks just emerged victorious over the others. This is true to Pinoy hunk from the provinces as well as those who made several heads turn for their looks. Christopher Dulagan of Cordillera won Man of the World Philippines 2016 while the ‘gasoline boy’ himself that became popular in the social is now Manhunt International Philippines 2016. He is Charles Joseph Querol of Balagtas who once again proved that dreams do come true.
Then there’s first ever Mister Supranational Philippines, Bohol’s AR Dela Serna, a comeback contestant from last year where he first won first runner-up. It’s proven: huge efforts and perseverance definitely pay off.
Another favorite, Negros Occidental’s Vincent Issen Christopher Jarina won the Mister Asian Philippines 2016 title. Completing the circle of winners are Jeremiah Nicolas of Melbourne as first runner-up and our personal favorite who we believe could try it again in the next editions of this pageant, Roshon Barman of Biliran who emerged as second runner-up.
The 15 semi-finalists include candidates from General Santos City, Quezon City (Fairview), Camarines Sur, Dumaguete City, Batangas, Sibuyan Island, and Davao Del Norte.
