MMFF 2016 Entries, Trailers

mmff 2016

EXPECT A DIFFERENT Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this 2016 as the final list of entries does not include big names and old franchises from big film outfits.

The Metro Manila Development Authority, which handles the annual film festival released the official list of eight full-length movies and eight short films on Friday, November 18, at Club Filipino. The official entries were chosen based on the following criteria: story, audience appeal and overall impact (40%); cinematic attributes or technical expertise (40%); global appeal (10%); and Filipino sensibility (10%), the festival organizers said.

MMFF 2016 runs from December 25 for two weeks until January 7, 2017. During the festivals, no other films will be shown in theaters nationwide. Prior to its grand opening on Christmas Day is the annual MMFF parade slated on December 23. Closing the festival is the awards night scheduled on January 8.

We would do our best to be your guide during this year’s film fest as we try to watch and review all the movies on this blog. But for now, here’s the trailers of full-length and short films for you to choose which films to see first.
