JUST IN TIME for the opening day of ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ in the Philippines, the SM Mall of Asia inaugurated its brand new cinemas on Thursday, December 15.
With Pinoy Star Wars fans rushing to see the film this weekend, the addition of Cinema 7 and Cinema 8 would help ease moviegoers’ traffic in one of Asia’s biggest malls, which is also the go-to mall of people living in the south of Metro Manila. Each cinema houses 153 seats and is both equipped with a top-of-the-line digital cinema projector system, Christie CP 2215, and Dolby 7.1 surround sound technology.
Personally, though I wasn’t really a die-hard Star Wars fan, I saw the movie fit to try the SM MOA’s brand new cinemas. So I instantly told Elvin we needed to try it since his time in the Philippines is quite limited as he’s about to be back abroad after the holidays.
Glad they did not disappoint. It was cozy and the cinemas’ stadium-type, premium glide seats offer the best view inside the theatre.
Equipped with PWD-friendly facilities and with PWD lavatories and slots, it is your cinema to go to especially during the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2016 starting December 25 when mall’s foot traffic are heaviest. SM Cinema has all the right to encourage more families to spend the holidays at the movies here.
For those who love affordable and tasty cinema treats to munch during movie time, the cinema’s Grub Central is just right here to serve you a wide array of your most favorite snacks to go with your movie. The cinemas’ lounge makes it a perfect venue for special screenings and movie events too. I am thinking of organizing one the soonest.
While tickets could be bought at the cinema’s ticket booths, for the added convenience, you can book your seats through www.smcinema.com.
