Surfing in Baler, Aurora, Philippines

BOHOL IS SYNONYMOUS to the world-renowned Chocolate Hills and the big-eyed tarsiers but unknown to many, the province is also home to a long list of white sand beaches waiting to be discovered.

So the next time you think of visiting Bohol, make sure that you are into some beach hopping too. Don’t worry, we did your assignment for you. Here is the list of Bohol beaches that you must not miss:

Panglao Island

Panglao is one of the several big islands that are separated from mainland Bohol. The other islands that are most likely keeping untouched beaches are Cabilao, Lapinin, and Mahanay. Zooming in to Panglao Island however, you would find the Alona Beach (photo below) that you’d easily fall in love with.

The plain sight of coconut trees, traditional huts and the vast blue and green seawater at Alona Beach is enough to calm a weary soul.

The other beaches in Panglao are Bikini Beach, Dumaloan Beach, Danao Beach, Doljo Beach, and Momo Beach. Surely, a few days stay in Panglao Island alone won’t be enough to enjoy all the activities in each beach.

Panglao is home to resorts of various types: it is as easy to find budget-friendly ones as that of the well-marketed luxurious resorts that offer first-class amenities.

Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is one of the most popular resorts in the whole of Bohol. It features a large outdoor pool and boasts of its modern bungalows and rooms. If you are to stay there, a shuttle service to Tagbilaran Airport is provided for free.
