We paid another visit to Bintan Lagoon Resort earlier this year — our go-to next stop whenever we’re in Singapore, since it’s just an hour’s ferry ride away. After putting our luggage down, we went straight to the kitchen they call ‘Chop Chop.’

BARELY FIVE MONTHS since we first visited Bintan Lagoon Resort (BLR) in Indonesia, we got word from its management about the launch of its Fiesta restaurant, the latest addition to the culinary scene on the scenic island of Bintan.

The view of the seas is almost always soothing to the soul.” Along with a photo of his passport and boarding pass, that was the quote a soul posted on his Instagram account while waiting to board at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore on Wednesday, March 2. Hours later, the much-needed reunion with the sea became real. Two Filipino souls set foot on this island.
Bintan Island, Indonesia — A QUICK GETAWAY from busy Singapore by ferry early this March led us to Bintan Lagoon Resort on this side of Southeast Asia, proving once more that the Earth is indeed blessed with plenty of paradise-like islands waiting to be explored.
