SINGAPORE — Splurging a little to pamper ourselves after months of hard work isn’t just nice, it’s wise.
We all deserve ultimate comfort, if not every day, then every now and then — to keep our sanity, freshen up mind and body, and get ready to take on life again.
When it comes to luxurious accommodations, Singapore has plenty of choices. As a first-world nation, the Merlion city caters well to the middle and upper classes, and Pan Pacific Singapore is a perfect example. Located in Singapore’s financial and business district at 7 Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square, it’s been named World’s Leading Business Hotel by the World Travel Awards.
Don’t get us wrong — Singapore has good options for both luxury travelers and backpackers alike. On our first visits here, we chose good hotels for most of our stay, except for longer vacations, when we’d go with Airbnb.
Spacious rooms in a world-class hotel
Businessman-friendly, each room is equipped with the things you need as you enjoy the comfort of the hotel room.
Just 20 minutes from Changi Airport, the hotel sits where the business happens. The Suntec Convention Center is five minutes away, and its closest MRT, Esplanade station, is a five-minute walk.
Its 700-plus spacious rooms are well set up for business travelers — soundproofed, with a working table and a mini-bar, so you can catch up on work while sipping your favorite drink.
The king-sized bed is genuinely comfortable, and the bathroom is huge, with a shower and bubble bath. Each room has everything you need for a peaceful stay, and guests can choose to wake up to a view of Marina Bay or the city skyline.

The Ultimate Favorites
Beyond the room, our favorite spots in this five-star hotel include its posh lobby (see featured photo — it even suits a beautiful bride), its beautiful pool, and its restaurants. What we love most is the Pacific Club on the 38th floor, which offers not just premium food but a panoramic view of the Singapore skyline, Marina Bay, and the West Philippine Sea. You need to be a Pacific Club member for premium access.

Like everyone else, we believe that no matter how comfortable the rooms or how good the architecture, if the kitchen fails, everything fails. If there’s one thing Pan Pacific Singapore has perfected over the years, it’s the kitchen and service.
Pacific Club. Keyaki. The Edge. The hotel’s restaurants are a feast to love. One Sunday, we experienced the hotel’s Sunday Champagne Brunch at The Edge, enjoying some of Singapore’s best food over a few bottles of Champagne. It was worth every bit.
Edge food choices are good for the eyes but they are wonderful for the tummies too.
How about a bottle of Champagne, caviars, and premium seafood on Ice, folks?
Depending on the occasion, Edge transform as well. During Lunar New Year, you may opt for a thematic buffet spread at Edge with a splendid selection of traditional Chinese New Year delicacies and contemporary interpretations.
Lauded as one of Singapore’s longest brunches, the popular four-hour brunch features a Knife Shaved Crudo Bar alongside the signature Caviar Bar and premium seafood on ice, plus a range of artisanal Irish cheeses complementing the famous Scorched Raclette Cheese live station at the Farmer’s Cheese Theatre.
In 2017, it was nominated for Best Buffet Restaurant and Blogger’s Choice at the @chopesg Diner’s Choice Awards — and for this writer, it’s already a winner on its own.
This beauty is found at Keyaki restaurant that offers Japanese cuisines with a twist like this unique Premium Yu Sheng with luxurious Sea Urchin and Lobster.
We’re already excited for our next Pan Pacific Singapore stay, as the country strengthens its position as a prime Southeast Asian destination, with a growing focus on being business- and family-friendly.
With its strong transportation and communication infrastructure, family-friendly spaces, and business-friendly establishments, Singapore already seems to be there.
