FOR ONE AFTERNOON this Friday, the ride-sharing app you use to beat traffic will bring you ice cream instead.
Uber Ice Cream, the company’s annual global ice cream day, hits the streets of Metro Manila on July 15. It’s happening in over 400 cities in 69 countries at once, and this year’s theme is “Indulge Together.”
Uber, now in its third year in the country’s largest metropolis, has partnered with Unilever this year to deliver Magnum Infinity ice cream bars to riders in cities around the globe.
“Uber, aside from helping in decongesting Metro Manila’s streets, aims to help people indulge together through our common passion for ice cream,” said Laurence Cua, Uber Philippines general manager. “This year, we are bringing this big Uber ice cream social to over 400 cities worldwide and over a million people will enjoy their favorite ice cream together.”

How It Works
Open your Uber app between 11am and 3pm, set your location, and select ICE CREAM. Once you’re connected, a runner delivers four Magnum bars curbside within minutes, at a discounted P199. Every delivery also comes with a surprise.
Uber is asking everyone to take a few minutes off on Friday to share the bars with friends and family, snap a groupie, and post it with the hashtag #UberIceCream.
