EXACTLY A YEAR AGO, Janina Espinoza was that pretty lady trying to impress us as she competed for the Dream Top Model Search in Singapore. I was one of the Board of Judges back then.
Yesterday, friends from Morpheus Events, AJ Villanueva and beauty queen trainer Makoy Manlapaz of The Gouldian Training Camp, posted on Facebook that Janina is competing for Supermodel International 2017 as the Philippines’ representative, and we couldn’t be more excited. That lady we once featured on this blog as an ‘F&B manager-turned-Catwalk-Queen’ keeps on conquering the global stage.
In a recent interview, Janina said she’s ready for the 7th edition of the Supermodel International competition, set for April 22nd in Delhi, India.
Since winning last year’s Singapore-based modeling search, Janina has kept busy training, making steady progress along the way — though who would’ve guessed it would lead her here? Even so, her training so far doesn’t feel like enough. Janina says she’s excited for the upcoming intensive training with Gouldian’s Manlapaz, the same trainer behind the success of Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Johanna Datul and Mister International 2014 Neil Perez. “I am excited to definitely become the better version of myself,” Janina enthused.
There’s pressure, yes, but Janina said she’d be glad to bring home the first Supermodel International crown for the Philippines.
Will Janina succeed in bringing honor to the Philippines once more? Let’s pray and keep her on our radar.
