TONIGHT, ONE LUCKY HUNK will be hailed Mister World 2016 as the 9th edition of the London-based male pageant comes to a close, with the final competition set to take place in its own backyard, Southport Theatre Convention in Devon, England.
Before the judges pick the ultimate Mister World 2016 winner, we’re joining the world in picking our own: that lucky man who captured our hearts the moment we set eyes on him.
Oh, we’re just taking our chances here, as we always do. Nothing serious, darlings, but the hunks listed in our Top Picks are the result of some serious deliberation among ourselves. But before anything else, can we offer you a few photos of one of our favorites this year, who suddenly withdrew from the competition? Yes, our hearts sank when we learned that Venezuela’s Renato Barabino wouldn’t be competing in this year’s Mister World. He’s exactly the kind of beauty we love seeing on the international stage, and you wouldn’t blame us for that. Here’s why:

All these gorgeous hunks seem to have descended from the heavens, but we could only pick a handful for this post.
Needless to say, the top contenders are India‘s Rohit Khandelwal, South Africa‘s Armand Du Plessis, and Ireland‘s Darren King.
1. Mister India Rohit Khandelwal
Yes, people, you read that right. It’s Mister India’s star that’s shining the brightest for this year’s competition, if you ask us. We’d hand him the title right away based on these photos alone. Rohit got under our skin in seconds, and he doesn’t seem to be letting us go.
Do you know what’s painful, Rohit? It’s us rooting for you just as hard as we root for our own country’s bet. So please, stop that pose, okay?
What abs? You only had one spot on this blog, but look what you just did — this is already your second photo here, Mister India!
2. Mister Ireland, Darren King.
Oh, we almost forgot to move on. But Ireland’s bet is tough competition. That jaw is to die for. And the beautiful face? The abs? The perfectly toned muscles? The height? Shall we go on? Darren King of Ireland has it all — add the ‘Mister World 2016’ title to his name and he’s the man for the pedestal.

3. Mister South Africa, Armand Du Plessis
His aura carries a kingly command and the charisma a title holder should have. He’s sweet yet manly, which is exactly why we’re having such a hard time choosing between him, Ireland, and India. He’s the kind of man you’d love to see make it all the way to the end.
This aura? Very Mister World. Shall we give the title to Armand du Plessis of South Africa?
When getting wet isn’t exactly hunky, yet somehow still sexy. Only Armand can pull that off!
Then there’s Brazil‘s Lucas Montandon, Mexico‘s Aldo Esparza, and Austria‘s Fabian Kitzweger.
4. Mister Brazil, Lucas Montandon
This photo of Mister World Brazil 2016 Lucas Montandon is a little too daring, we think, but then again, who would ever pick the non-daring option? His manly beauty is a perfect fit for Mister World, and we wouldn’t mind him taking the title. If he’s the one inviting you to this year’s Rio Olympics, we’d bet you’d pack your bags without needing a second invitation.

5. Mister Mexico, Aldo Esparza
Below is actually an older photo of Aldo Esparza. His more recent photos show a different hairstyle, but he’s still just as sexy — we just chose to feast our eyes on this one. Who could resist? Aldo is definitely the man from Mexico worth keeping your eyes on. This time, the fight isn’t just about boxing.

6. Mister Austria, Fabian Kitzweger
Austria’s Fabian Kitzweger has such a sweet face, and he’s a hunk worth falling for. You wouldn’t mind seeing him in a suit, would you? He’s our 6th pick on this list, and honestly, who else could have taken his place?

Who could deny being mesmerized by the angelic faces of Malta’s Timmy Puschkin and Spain’s Angel Martinez Elul?
7. Mister Malta, Timmy Puschkin
If this body isn’t perfect yet, what is? Mister World Malta 2016 Timmy Puschkin is exactly the kind of hunk who easily captivates his prey. No questions asked.
8. Mister Spain Angel Martinez Elul
Would you love to share a bed with him? This is Mister World Spain 2016, ladies and ladies at heart. We’re sure he could be your angel, even just for today. Look at that handsome face on Angel Martinez Elul — who wouldn’t vote for him? Oh, forget about Duterte!
9. Mister Poland, Rafał Jonkisz
If you ask us, that tattoo alone is enough, Rafał.
We actually saw Mister Poland in person. He visited the Philippines last year when he competed in Mister International 2015, held at Resorts World Manila. He was a year younger back then but just as handsome. Seeing him compete again this year, we can only wish him an even better placement — his unique beauty deserves the spotlight.
10. Mister Philippines, Sam Ajdani
This list wouldn’t be complete without the Philippines’ bet, of course: Sam Ajdani. See for yourself what he brings to the table before accusing us of bias.
The Philippines’ bet, Sam Ajdani, is in perfect shape to bring home the country’s first-ever title.
Given our familiarity with him, though, we won’t add any adjectives here for our Sam — we’ll just wish him well as he represents the Philippines. All the best, Sam!
EDIT: Forgive us, universe, for not including this gorgeous man in our list earlier — we made a terrible mistake, and we hope the world forgives us for it. We have to make amends and include the hunk we’ve loved since he first set foot in the Philippines last year:
11. Mister Puerto Rico, Fernando Alvarez
Our dear Fernando was one of our favorites when he competed in the other male pageant, Mister International 2015, held in the Philippines. He also went up against Poland’s Rafal back then, and managed to land in the Top 10 of that competition, which was won by Pedro Mendez of Switzerland. Fernando is the kind of guy you can’t stop watching from the moment you set eyes on him, and you already know why. Will Fernando make it this time? Fingers crossed.

This aura wasn’t enough to earn Fernando the Mister International crown. Will a more refined version of him make him the next Mister World?
Yes, this is not a Top 10 after all.
These are simply the top contestants we think are fit to become Mister World 2016 winner, and we hope the accompanying photos make the case that our choices were solid.
