Coca-Cola PH honors ‘Bringers of Christmas’ in a concert

Coca Cola Christmas Concert December 2016

WHILE CHRISTMAS is best known as the season of joy and giving, it’s also the perfect time to thank the people who go out of their way to make the season more special for the rest of us.

This year, Coca-Cola celebrated the season with us through our ‘Tagahatid Pasko,’ or Bringers of Christmas.

The crowd enjoy the various events set up by Coca-Cola at the concert grounds.

Thousands gathered at SM MOA Concert Grounds from 2pm to catch real-life couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre, the tandem of Bailey May and Ylona Garcia, singer Rico Blanco, and several bands including Sandwich, Gloc 9, Autotelic, Callalily, Reese Lansangan, Gracenote, and Funk Avy that night.

The free concert was Coca-Cola’s way of saying thank you to everyone, meant to celebrate the ‘unsung heroes’ — the simple, everyday people who help bring us the warmth and joy of Christmas.

Coca-Cola Philippines Vice-President for Marketing Stephan Czypionka said, “This Christmas, Coca-Cola wants to put the spotlight on the people who makes us feel the magic of Christmas or who we call as #TagahatidPasko or ‘bringers of Christmas’. We want to inspire people to recognize and show their appreciation for these people we rarely say thank you to.”

Joy and excitement filled the grounds as guests enjoyed on-site activities like the Coke karaoke booths, the 5by20 Women Artisan Booth, Coke tattoo booths, and the Coca-Cola Santa and Snowland stations, where they took photos and played in ice-cold snow.

Coca-Cola Ambassadors Enchong Dee, Bailey May, and Ylona Garcia, along with celebrity favorites like Diego Loyzaga, Alexa Ilacad, Nash Aguas and his Gimme 5 teammates, and even Voice Kids PH Season 1’s Darren Espanto, joined in on the fun too.

The crowd go gaga over James Reid and Nadine Lustre as the two perform together in all sweetness ala-Coca-Cola.

Lucky raffle winners took home new iPhones and Coca-Cola electric fans. Several employees from Coca-Cola partners 7-Eleven, Shell, Select, Grab, Mini Stop, Coca-Cola 5 by 20, Shakey’s, Djarn, Sentinel, Tropical Hut Pasay City, MMDA, and the PNP, nominated as Tagahatid Pasko heroes, also received special rewards and gifts at the event.

And it doesn’t stop there — the company also plans to extend its Christmas spirit to the everyday heroes working gas stations, MRT and LRT stations, fast food chains, grocery stores, malls, and airports around Metro Manila, surprising them with Coca-Cola goodies to bring home to their families for Christmas Eve.

“We want to put the spotlight on that friend who, the moment Sept 01, 12:01 A.M. strikes, will greet you the earliest Merry Christmas, or that MMDA officer who wore a Santa hat while directing traffic because it’s December already, or even that woman artisan who carefully handcrafted that unique bracelet made of pull tabs, making sure that your gift is the most talked item in your Kris Kringle,” Stephan continued. “After all, the true spirit of Christmas is taking a moment in expressing gratitude to all of your loved ones and to those who make your Christmas happen, not only in December, but every day of the year. Made even more special with an ice-cold bottle of Coca-Cola, of course.”

Share the joy and laughter of Christmas, and your favorite Coca-Cola drink, this season with your own #TagahatidPasko.
