Sarah Benjamin, Nick Michael Imran fight for love anew in ‘Cooking For Love’ Season 2

Cooking for Love hosts Sarah Benjamin and Nik Michael Imran

COMPETITION IS TOUGHER the second time around for culinary host Sarah Benjamin and Malaysia’s celebrity chef Nik Michael Imran, who bring even more delectable recipes to season two of Asian Food Channel’s original series ‘Cooking For Love.’

The brand new season, which recently started airing, features six new families from diverse backgrounds, following Nik and Sarah as they pit their kitchen skills and creativity against each other, proving that the best way to someone’s heart really is through their stomach.

Each episode captures a family’s unique story, and the competitive duo pushes not just each other but themselves, drawing culinary inspiration from that story to build a menu made just for them. From intimate family reunions to grand Mother’s Day celebrations, find out who wins the most hearts this season.

Sarah Benjamin

From her grandmother’s kitchen on to winning a talent search competition, Sarah Benjamin has become a name in the Culinary industry but is still fighting for your love, one dish at-a-time.

Nik Michael Imran

His father’s love for food has brought out the best in him. Now, celebrity chef Nik Michael Imran co-hosts Cooking for Love and continuously receive love from all over the world through his dishes.

Sarah Benjamin, a culinary host and blogger from Singapore, began her food journey young, helping her grandmother whip up home-cooked Chinese Hakka dishes. As she grew older, her lifelong passion for cooking really took off once she started cooking for herself during university in Scotland — the struggle to find Asian food nearby is exactly what pushed her to start experimenting with Asian flavors and dishes herself. The past two years have taken her across the globe, traveling, eating, and soaking up international cultures and flavors. This season of Cooking For Love, Sarah’s determined to bring the dynamic fusion flavors and influences from those travels to the table.

Nik, similarly, started cooking at just nine years old. Growing up with a chef for a father, he was often encouraged to cook for visiting family and friends. Trained in French and Italian cooking, with Malaysian palate influences and a soft spot for Japanese and Korean flavors, Nik brings a genuinely fresh take on traditional dishes, creating original yet approachable recipes that draw from both East and West.

With both hosts coming from different backgrounds and different approaches to cooking, this season’s competition is more intense. In one episode, Nik and Sarah take on the challenge of cooking for a Thai family, with the added twist of infusing Western flavors into their dishes. Sarah whips up Green Papaya Rojak, Spaghetti Meatball Krapao, and Kueh Salat, while Nik cooks Spicy Squid Thai Salad, Norwegian Salmon Bakar Sambal with Jasmine Rice, and Red Ruby Chestnut. Will either satisfy the family’s authentic Thai palate and win them over with a creative Thai-Western spin?

Catch Cooking For Love season 2 Thursdays at 9pm, with reruns starting Friday, December 9, at 8pm, on SkyCable Channel 22 (Analog)/248 HD, Dream Satellite TV 27, Cignal 62, Destiny Cable 71 (Analog) 22 (Digital).
