Expect Frontal Nudity in Cinemalaya 2018 Entry, ‘The Lookout’

The director revealed that the main characters, Andres Vasquez, Jay Garcia, and Elle Ramirez, wear no costumes at all because the film demands it. “Halos buong movie, hubad sila,” Africa said.

More than this intriguing revelation, which is common to most indie films, however, The Lookout is a “very painful movie,” he said. “Bawat hubad po dito, revelation ng katauhan ng bida,” the director explained.

‘The Lookout’ is one of the 10 feature film-entries at the Cinemalaya 2018, which will run from August 3 to 12, 2018 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and select Ayala Malls cinemas.

The lead characters are pretty young and new to show business. Among them, only Andres Vasquez has experience doing sexy roles. Vasquez had a butt-exposure scene in Solo Para Adultos, a theater play staged at the Music Museum in October 2017 and February this year. It was the most daring act he had done by far, aside from an intimate scene with actor Prince Stefan in the film Working Beks in 2016.

Jay Garcia is a model with only a year of showbiz experience. In The Lookout, Garcia will have a lot of intimate nude scenes with Vasquez.

Elle Ramirez, on the other hand, is known for her sweet image, as she is part of a lot of Kapuso series that include Alyas Robin Hood (2016), Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa (2017), and Mulawin vs. Ravena (2017).

Also part of the cast are Yayo Aguila, Rez Cortez, Efren Reyes, Jeffrey Santos, Lharby Policarpio, Benedict Campos, Aries Go, and Jemina Sy.

The Lookout is the story of George, a victim of child trafficking at the tender age of seven. His mother sold him and his sibling to a syndicate in order to meet the financial demands of her live-in partner. George vows to return to his mother and her boyfriend to make them pay for what they did.

“Survival of the fittest. This is the truth in a world we all live in. Every person has his own story to tell and how they face life’s challenges that some call Hell,” the film synopsis reads.
