HERE’S ANOTHER FILIPINA singer starting to make a name for herself on The X Factor UK stage.

Following ‘4th Impact’s’ successful run on the show last year, which took them all the way to the finals, 33-year-old singer Ivy Grace Paredes tried her luck this year and won over all four judges with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘All The Man I Need’ on the show’s sixth episode.

Paredes said 4th Impact’s success is what inspired her to join. “If they can make it, I can make it, too.”

After her powerful performance, Simon Cowell reacted, “Oh my God! What just happened there?!”

“She just sang our faces off, pretty much, that’s what happened,” Nicole Scherzinger replied.

Louis Walsh called her audition amazing, and Simon said it was more than that, calling the second half incredible.

“Everybody comes in here saying ‘I want it so bad, am fighting for it’ but that, right there, is wanting it and fighting for it,” said Nicole. Louis called her sensational, if a bit of a diva, while Sharon Osbourne said Ivy Grace did herself proud.

A native of Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Ivy Grace teared up explaining why she joined The X Factor UK: for her daughter. “For me, I believe this is the biggest competition and I want to be a part of it. (The) X Factor (UK) can give me the stepping stones I need to do good in the future because this is all for my daughter.”

Her daughter is 2 ½ years old and is under the care of Ivy Grace’s parents back in the Philippines.
