Joshua Oliveros is The Voice Kids PH Season 3 Grand Champion

The Voice Kids Philippines 2016 Grand Winner

An eleven-year-old boy from Antique is the grand winner of The Voice Kids Philippines Season 3. Joshua Oliveros took 38.07 percent of the total votes, beating Antonetthe Tismo and Jason Alva, who got 36.69 percent and 25.24 percent, respectively.

Joshua had always been vocal about his wish to see his family reunited. On Sunday’s Power Ballad Round and results show, his parents and siblings were there to cheer him on. He delivered a heartfelt rendition of Yeng Constantino’s OPM hit “Salamat.” Coach Lea shared that the boy didn’t want a house — he wanted a home, a “tahanan.” She challenged Joshua to draw on that dream as inspiration for a performance strong enough to win him votes.

“You are perfection on stage,” Coach Lea said, also praising his consistency and heartfelt performances throughout the competition.

And as fate would have it, Joshua gave Team Familea its first victory in the show’s kids edition. With Coach Lea by his side, his reaction upon being announced winner, trophy in hand, was simply priceless.

Joshua took home the grand prize: a Camella house and lot, a P1 million H&M trust fund, a P1 million cash prize, and an MCA Music recording contract.

The finale closed on a happy family portrait, with Joshua singing “Salamat” once more as his father and mother stood by his side.
