Mediacorp’s regional dating show Wingman cast eight singles from around Southeast Asia. In the finale, a Filipino was in each of the two final couples, and another Filipino won the show’s second prize.
Mediacorp, Singapore’s national broadcaster, released the last episode this week. Filipino actor and model L.A. Aguinaldo, 33, and Thai actress Frayya, 23, were named the Winning Couple and take home S$20,000. They beat Filipino actor and model Marco Gallo, 25, and Malaysian marketing director Yuki Chong, 25. Gallo’s best friend, Lorenzo Isip, 26, was voted Winning Wingman, worth S$10,000.

A Dating Show Built Around Best Friends
Each single came in with their closest friend, the “wingman.” The wingmen competed in challenges, and winning one earned their single a date. Germaine Tan, a host on Mediacorp’s English radio station 987, presented all 12 episodes. Beach House Pictures, a Singapore production company, made the show.
The idea started inside Mediacorp, where it won the company’s 2023 pitch contest for unscripted formats. Casting opened in December 2025, the cast filmed in May, and the first episode came out on September 10.
Halfway through the season, the producers let the wingmen date too. Several of the finale’s pairings came out of that change.

How L.A. and Frayya Got There
Aguinaldo, a model and content creator, liked Frayya from the start. She took her time. She went on dates with two other men, Gallo among them, before choosing him.
They had one real fight on camera. During a dating challenge, his jealousy upset her enough that she cried, and they had to talk it through. On later dates he faced his fear of heights with her, told her about his parents’ separation, and said he wants a family of his own someday. He also wrote her a letter by hand and closed it in Thai: “Wherever there’s your smile, that’s my home.”
By the end, Frayya said she trusted him more than people she had known for years. Viewers didn’t vote. The cast picked the winners, along with two finale guests, the content creators Sherrin and Yixi.

Lorenzo Isip’s Busy September
Isip had a crowded month. On September 11, a day after Wingman premiered, he made the men’s Top 8 at Century Tuna Superbods 2026 and won its Digital Champ award. Before that, he competed in Mister Pilipinas Worldwide as Cebu City’s delegate.
On the show, his job was Gallo. He promised his friend he would help him trust people again and meet someone. The cast decided he had done it and voted him Winning Wingman. Once the wingmen could date, he grew close to UL Ramita, 21, Frayya’s wingman, and he said he left the villa with someone of his own.
The Runners-Up
Gallo and Chong started badly. Chong came in as wingman to her friend Olivia Law and was later voted into the singles pool. She told Gallo first that he was the only person in the villa who gave her butterflies. In private, he said he didn’t feel the same.
Two dates changed his mind. He said Chong showed him that people could be kind without wanting something from him. Isip said it was the first time he had seen Gallo open up to a woman. In the finale, Chong told Gallo she wanted to see where things went, and said part of it in Italian because he is half Italian.
They lost the vote. Both said they want to keep seeing each other.
What Happens Next
The show was filmed in May, five months before the finale aired. Neither couple has said publicly whether they are still together, so what aired is how things stood when filming ended.
Mediacorp cast the show across Southeast Asia. Of the five people named in the finale results, three were Filipino.
