Andrés Briseño gave the shortest answer of the final round, and it was enough. On Saturday night at MCC Hall, the events venue inside The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi in Bangkok, the model from Sinaloa was crowned Mister International 2026. He succeeds the Philippines’ Kirk Bondad. Spain’s Ignacio “Nacho” Monclús finished first runner-up, and Indonesia’s I Gede Aiswarya Pandit “Ais” Kartika finished second. Few people had Mexico winning. In our own read after the preliminary competition, we called the crown a two-man race between Spain and Türkiye. Briseño got one line, in a short list of men who couldn’t be counted out yet. He did have one hard result to point to: second runner-up at King of Andaman, the swimsuit competition in Phuket a week before the final. On Saturday he edged out Türkiye’s Doğukan Navdar, the man who won that Phuket night, for the last place in the Top 3. Then he beat the two men ranked ahead of him.
