vivo V80 Lite Philippines: 10,000mAh Battery, IP69 Rating, and Pre-Order Freebies From ₱24,999

vivo’s pitch for the V80 Lite fits in one number. The phone carries a 10,000mAh battery, the largest vivo has put in any phone worldwide, and it arrives in the Philippines starting at ₱24,999.

The milliamp-hour (mAh) figure measures how much charge a battery holds. A typical phone’s battery runs about half that, so this one is built to outlast a full workday with room to spare. vivo calls it the BlueVolt Battery, and the phone has a Guinness World Records certificate to go with it: the longest electronic product live stream, at 32 hours and 37 minutes, set by four Southeast Asian content creators, including Filipino host Vince Domingo, and verified in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on August 11, 2026.

ElysPlanet attended the launch at Market! Market! in Taguig on Sunday, October 4, on vivo’s invitation. Marian Rivera, vivo’s brand ambassador, was on hand, and what follows is a first look at what vivo announced and what it costs. It is not a review, because a launch event can’t tell you how a battery behaves over a week.

A Phone Pitched at the Side-Hustle Crowd

vivo is aiming the V80 Lite at young Filipino professionals, the people whose day doesn’t end at five o’clock. That means the commute, the side hustle, the gym, and dinner with friends, all on one phone. “Today’s professionals are not defined by a strict 9-to-5 schedule,” said Liu Lu, brand marketing director of vivo Philippines.

It’s a sensible read of the market, and the spec sheet follows it with three features:

  • Battery. The 10,000mAh cell is meant to end the habit of planning your day around the next outlet.
  • Durability. The phone is rated IP68 and IP69. The IP rating system measures protection against dust and water. IP68 covers dust-tight sealing and submersion in water, and IP69 adds resistance to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. vivo says the protection holds under rated testing conditions, which is the standard caveat for any waterproofing claim.
  • Display. The screen is a 1.5K OLED panel with high brightness. OLED lights each pixel individually, and 1.5K refers to a resolution between full HD and 4K. The brightness is aimed at reading messages in direct sun on a Manila sidewalk.

The Primetime Queen on the Brand’s Payroll

Rivera’s presence says as much about how vivo sells phones in the Philippines as the spec sheet does. She is widely billed as the Kapuso Primetime Queen, Kapuso being the name for GMA Network and its stars, a title built over two decades of leading roles in fantasy-drama series such as MariMar, Darna, and Dyesebel. When she walks onto a stage, the cameras follow, and vivo has leaned on that pull for its biggest Philippine launches.

vivo introduced her as its ambassador at the V40 Lite launch in October 2024. She has fronted the brand’s Philippine launches since then, including the V60 and the V70, the latter in February 2026. At the V70 event she talked up photography, saying vivo phones are her go-to for capturing everyday moments.

The V40 Lite launch carries an echo for this one. By vivo’s account, Rivera singled out that phone’s 5,000mAh battery and its four-year battery warranty as favorite features, and said of the company’s technology, “Yung technology nila, nangunguna talaga,” which roughly translates to “Their technology really leads.” The V80 Lite doubles that battery and keeps the same four-year warranty.

Rivera is a paid ambassador, so her praise is part of the marketing and not an independent verdict. It does show where vivo thinks the audience is: Filipino viewers who know her face from primetime television and trust it enough to consider a phone.

What It Costs, and What You Get for Ordering Early

Two configurations are available:

  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₱24,999
  • 6GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₱27,999

Pre-orders run from October 4 to 16, 2026, through vivo physical stores, the vivo e-store, and the vivo Store app. Early buyers get:

  • A limited-edition pair of vivo Buds Air3 earbuds, worth ₱1,799
  • vivo Silver Membership privileges through the vivo Store app
  • A ₱1,000 pre-order discount
  • A four-year battery warranty, worth ₱1,510
  • 100GB of Google One cloud storage for six months, claimable until October 2, 2027

Buyers who finance through Home Credit, a consumer-financing company, get an extra ₱500 off at 0% interest until October 31, 2026. Use voucher code HCV80LITE.

The four-year battery warranty is the freebie that says the most. A 10,000mAh cell is the headline feature, and vivo is willing to back it for longer than most phone warranties run.

What a Launch Can’t Tell You

A battery this size makes a promise that only daily use can test. Real endurance depends on how the phone manages standby drain, heavy screen time, and charging habits over weeks, and none of that shows up in a launch-day demo.

Whether ₱24,999 is a good price comes down to the same test. The spec sheet makes a strong case, and the proof will be a week with the phone as a primary device. ElysPlanet will be looking for that chance.
