WHO WILL WIN at tonight’s coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2018. That is the question Filipino pageant fans couldn’t wait to know the answer. In today’s pageant world where critics, propagandists, and paid personalities have social media as platforms to voice out their opinion or push for their agenda, it is hard to know neither what’s real and sincere nor what’s beneficial for the country’s pride once we send our ladies out to compete internationally.
We can also never discount pure blind fanaticism, for most often than not, it is the loudest voice in the crowd.
While we remain standing by the sideline, doing what we usually do: rooting for the best candidates to win, we managed to come up with this post before tonight’s grand coronation of Binibining Pilipinas 2018. Not that it would be of any help to you but at least for us to discuss about pageants further for whether we like it or not, it forms part of our lives as Filipinos.
But like many others, we have limited interactions with the girls this year so our opinions are limited to observations, photos, videos, and the media exposures of these candidates. We decided not to dwell on forums as they’re the platform full of die-hard fans, and as always, it is she who has a lot of fans that either gets bashed or praised.
While pageant experts have their own bets based on systemic calculations and what’s hot in the current pageant set up from around the world, we remain true to our own selves, and we choose what we believe are the best bets the country should send without discounting the capabilities of the others.
Here are our top choices to wear the crowns and sashes. Six of these ladies shall represent the Philippines in various competitions abroad:
1.) Karen Gallman
2.) Jehza Huelar
3.) Michelle Theresa Gumabao
4.) Samantha Mae Bernardo
5.) Catriona Elisa Gray
6.) Ma. Andrea ‘Aya’ Abisamis
7.) Patrizia Mariah Garcia
8.) Muriel Orais
There you go, folks. Six of the eight ladies Karen Gallman, Aya Abisamis, Jehza Huelar, Catriona Gray, Samantha Mae Bernardo, Michelle Theresa Gumabao, Patrizia Mariah Garcia, and Muriel Orais we are expecting to win tonight.
Our ultimate lady to win Miss Universe Philippines however, is none other than the complete package, Catriona Gray, who we’ve been rooting for since her bid to win Miss World 2016 for the Philippines. More updates later tonight.
