THE VIDEO OF celebrity chef Erwan Heusaff’s proposal to actress Anne Curtis in New York caught fans worldwide by surprise.

It was supposed to be just another lazy Sunday for their followers, but when both of them posted a link to a Facebook video of their recent trip to New York and Connecticut, netizens went gaga. People expressed happiness and support, noting how sweet Erwan’s gesture was — keeping it low-key and personal only made the proposal feel more sincere.

Curtis, an award-winning actress and regular host of the noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ on ABS-CBN, is the most recent ‘It Girl’ to settle down, following the same path taken by her friends Georgina Wilson, Isabelle Daza, and Erwan’s sister, Solenn Heussaff.

The engagement video was posted inconspicuously, framed as a travel video. Anne’s version, posted on her Facebook page, was titled “New York City Marathon and Connecticut (Most memorable trip of my life),” while Erwan’s version on YouTube carried the title “Going Around New York City and Connecticut (Best Trip Ever).”

Update: Sixteen hours later, Anne’s FB video had gathered 4.3M views and counting, while Erwan’s YouTube video sat at around half a million.

While fans on both sides shared their own reactions to the engagement, Anne’s sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, posted the sweetest one — about never doubting the forever in her sister’s relationship.

Never doubted the forever everyone sees in your relationship God may have given you the biggest challenges in life but He also showers you with the best blessings that you deserve! woot woot! what will be your wedding hashtag kaya?,” Anne’s younger sister posted on Twitter.
