VALENTINA RASOLUVA of Russia was just adjudged winner of Miss Intercontinental 2015, while the Philippines’ Christi Lynn McGarry won first runner-up on Saturday (Philippine time), December 19 in Germany.
McGarry’s runner-up placement is a welcome treat for the Philippines, as it’s the highest placement the country has achieved in this pageant so far.
McGarry represented the Philippines for the second time in this pageant. The first was back in 2010, when the local franchise was still owned by Mutya ng Pilipinas, and she was one of the 15 semi-finalists.
It can be recalled that her winning the sash at Binibining Pilipinas 2015 became the talk of the town until it was clarified that she was still eligible to compete.

Other winners are Brianne Bailey of the USA (second runner-up), Katherine Garcia of Venezuela (third runner-up), and Tendai Bongani of Zimbabwe (fourth runner-up).
This year’s Miss Intercontinental pageant is the start of the so-called three-day holiday for pageant fans all over the world, to be followed by the coronation night of Miss World on December 20 and the much-anticipated Miss Universe on December 21 (Philippine Time).
