Mutya ng Pilipinas’ 2026 season closes applications September 28, with final screening following two days later at the CWC Design Center in Makati. Coronation night is set for October 14 at the Playtime FilOil Center in San Juan, where roughly 40 delegates — including regional and overseas Filipino representatives — will compete for nine titles. It’s a fairly standard pageant calendar on paper. What’s notable is how insistently the organization is talking about a season two years from now, and how much the outgoing batch of queens has already done on international stages while this year’s aspirants are still filing applications.

Mutya ng Pilipinas 2025 Winners at International Competitions
MNP crowned nine titleholders at its November 2025 coronation, but historically only three of them carried an automatic ticket abroad: Miss Intercontinental, World Top Model, and Miss Tourism International. This cycle, that math changed twice over. Miss Tourism International is no longer MNP’s to send — the Malaysia-based franchise moved to ALV Pageant Circle earlier this year, redirecting MNP’s own titleholder to a brand-new pageant instead. And two more of MNP’s 2025 queens, who wouldn’t ordinarily compete overseas at all, ended up on international stages anyway. Add it up and MNP effectively sent five queens abroad this year, not three.
Christina Vanhefflin, Mutya ng Pilipinas Intercontinental 2025 and MNP’s overall winner, represented the Philippines at Miss Intercontinental 2025 in Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada, Egypt, finishing 4th runner-up.

Naomi Raine Wainwright, Mutya ng Pilipinas World Top Model 2025, competes next: she’s set for World Top Model 2026 — the Milan-founded modeling pageant, not to be confused with the similarly named Top Model of the World — on December 5.
Ma. Andrea Endicio’s title tells the most convoluted story of the five. Crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2025, she lost that title’s international ticket when ALV Pageant Circle acquired the Philippine Miss Tourism International franchise this year — a pipeline MNP had fed since 1994, winning six times. MNP moved fast, appointing Endicio to a newly launched franchise instead: Miss Polo Universe Philippines. She’s currently in Dubai for Miss Polo Universe 2026, with Grand Coronation Night set for September 26. (Her full story is here.)
MNP’s other two overseas queens weren’t on the international docket at all under the org’s usual structure. Lyndzy Blyss Maranan, Mutya ng Pilipinas Luzon 2025, was appointed Miss Global Universe Philippines 2026 — and won the international title outright, becoming the first Filipina to claim the Miss Global Universe crown, at the pageant’s coronation in Singapore on July 11.
Eunice Deza, Mutya ng Pilipinas Visayas 2025, was appointed Top Model of the World Philippines 2026 and finished 2nd runner-up at Top Model of the World 2026 in Sahl Hasheesh, Egypt — a different pageant from the World Top Model competition Wainwright is entering, despite the nearly identical name.

Between the franchise swap and the appointments, MNP’s outbound pipeline looks different this year than it has in years past — even before this season’s own titleholders are crowned.
Already Counting Down to 60
Mutya ng Pilipinas was founded in 1968, making this its 58th season and one of the two oldest national beauty pageants in the Philippines, alongside Binibining Pilipinas. MNP president Cory Quirino has framed this year explicitly as a countdown: “This is our 58th season leading to our 60th anniversary in 2028.” Under Quirino, who took over the organization’s leadership in 2019, Mutya has already gone through one rebrand and reversal — renamed “Mutya Pilipinas” before reverting to its original name in 2022 — and lost its longtime Miss Asia Pacific International franchise to a rival organization in 2023. Talking up an anniversary two seasons out reads less like routine pageant marketing and more like an organization signaling it intends to still be standing to see it.

The New Name on the Sash
This season’s other headline is a new Mercedes-Benz sponsorship — a name-brand tier of partner that’s unusual for a Philippine national pageant outside the very top of the industry (Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Universe Philippines). Neither Mutya nor Mercedes-Benz has detailed what the partnership actually covers, but its mere presence functions as its own statement: after the 2023 franchise loss, this is an organization still able to attract sponsorship at that level.
What Comes Next
Mutya’s international portfolio keeps moving even as this piece goes to press. Miss Tourism International is now ALV Pageant Circle’s to send, replaced on MNP’s roster by the newly created Miss Polo Universe. This year’s Miss Environment International titleholder will be crowned as part of the October 14 batch, with the actual Miss Environment International pageant following in November. For Miss Chinese World, MNP has struck a crossover partnership with Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines — the separate, decades-old pageant that gave the industry David Licauco — and will send its former queen Jercy So to represent the Philippines at the next edition. October 14 decides who inherits the rest of that pipeline. ELYSPLANET will have the results — and, as this year’s queens head out to compete individually on those same stages, will follow each of their campaigns the way this piece has followed the class of 2025.
