Heathers the Musical Is Coming to Manila in January 2027. Public Tickets Go on Sale This Sunday.

Heathers - (L-R) Liberty Stottor, Gerardine Sacdalan, Lou Henry, and Jessica Ibadin

GMG Productions, in association with Bill Kenwright Ltd. and Paul Taylor-Mills, announced the Philippine premiere of “Heathers the Musical,” running Jan. 21 through Feb. 7, 2027, at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City. The Manila run brings the current West End touring company — fresh off a 52-performance season at The Arts at Marble Arch and now on a UK and Ireland tour — following prior sold-out runs in London, New York, and Melbourne. A UnionBank cardholder presale is running now through Sept. 11, with a waitlist onsale Sept. 12, both offering 10% off ahead of the general public onsale this Sunday, Sept. 13.

A Homecoming for the Lead

Filipino performer Gerardine Sacdalan, based in London, headlines the Manila cast as Veronica Sawyer, the role that earned her a WhatsOnStage Award nomination for Best Professional Debut playing Juliet in the UK tour of “& Juliet.” She’s also appeared as Sandra Beaumont in “Made in Dagenham in Concert” at the London Palladium and as Frenchie in “Grease: The Immersive Musical” at Battersea Park. Opposite her as Jason “J.D.” Dean is Louis Hearsey, with Liberty Stottor as Heather Chandler, Jessica Ibadin as Heather Duke, and Lou Henry as Heather McNamara rounding out the musical’s titular trio.

About the Show

“Heathers the Musical” is based on the 1989 film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. It premiered in Los Angeles in 2013, moved to New York in 2014, and was reimagined for its 2018 London premiere with new songs and an updated script — the version now touring, and the one Manila audiences will see. GMG Productions CEO Carlos Candal called it “a particularly exciting addition to our season,” adding that the musical is “bold, irreverent, and incredibly funny, with a brilliant score and a story about friendship, identity, and finding your place that remains remarkably relevant.”

The production carries a content advisory for strong language and mature themes, including murder, suicide, sexual violence, and references to eating disorders, along with haze, loud noises, gunshots, and strobe effects.

Ticket Details

Tickets are available through Ticketworld. Tuesday-through-Thursday performances range from ₱1,587 (E Reserve) to ₱6,877 (VIP); Friday-through-Sunday performances range from ₱2,116 to ₱7,406. The UnionBank presale (Sept. 8–11) and waitlist onsale (Sept. 12) both offer 10% off before general public tickets open Sept. 13 — the narrowest window in this cycle for anyone hoping to lock in a seat at a discount.

The run adds “Heathers” to a growing slate of international touring productions making stops in Manila, with The Theatre at Solaire continuing to anchor the city’s push to host West End-caliber runs on a regular basis.
