WHEN GIVEN THE CHANCE, model-turned-actor Gil Cuerva says he’d love to take his modeling career international — though that’s only if he goes back to modeling at all. For now, he’s happy with the support he’s getting from the Kapuso network, he told ElysPlanet in an interview at GMA Network.

Cuerva rose to stardom opposite award-winning actress Jennylyn Mercado in the Philippine adaptation of the hit Koreanovela ‘My Love from the Star’ in 2017. The romantic comedy-fantasy drama ended mid-August last year after 55 episodes.

The actor is among a select group of GMA artists currently training under New York-based acting coach Anthony Bova, support Cuerva says he’s grateful for. Workshops like this, he added, are exactly the kind of investment that helps artists sharpen their craft.

Cuerva was last seen opposite Julie Ann San Jose in ‘My Guitar Princess,’ which aired from May to July 2018. Asked about upcoming projects, he said he’s still waiting to hear from the network.
